Whatever Happened To Old Fashioned Love ?

We live in the modern age
Where love is fast like a turning page
In a magazine, we've hardly seen
The friends we used to know
They disappear, they come and go
Like the times we've had
It's kind of sad

Whatever happened to old fashioned love
The kind that would see you through
The kind of love my Momma and Daddy knew
Yeah, whatever happened to old fashioned love
The kind that would last through the years
Through the trials
Through the smiles
Through the tears

Today is all we've planned
We say tomorrow we'll understand
If it all should end
We'd be alone again

Ohh, whatever happened to old fashioned love
The kind that would see you through
The kind of love my Momma and Daddy knew
Yeah, whatever happened to old fashioned love
The kind that would last through the years
Through the trials
Through the smiles
Through the tears

For now the tenderness
Has been replaced
With something less
And it's hard to find
What we left behind

Ohh, whatever happened to old fashioned love
The kind that would see you through
The kind of love my Momma and Daddy knew
Yeah, whatever happened to old fashioned love
The kind that would last through the years
Through the trials
Through the smiles
Through the tears.

Billy and Sue

This is the story about Billy and Sue
They were in love as were any two
And yet Billy had to die
And when you hear the reason why
You'll hang your head and cry

Billy and Sue met the first day of school
And ever since lived by the golden rule
Because when you do unto others
What you wouldn't want done to you
You have to be a fool

This mutual agreement of love and trust
Made them travel the road to marriage or bust
And when Billy was old enough to take a wife
He was old enough to fight for his country
And it's way of life

Sue's letters came everyday
Strengthened his cause
They showed him the way
To fight for his country and the girl he loved
That's the soldier's only pay

But then Billy heard no more from Sue
He was worried sick but what could he do
The bullets were screaming as he hugged the ground
And back home
Sue was running 'round

Billy was getting less and less strong
His hopeless faith was almost gone
And then like a miracle a letter appeared
Billy tore open and he read
"Dear John"

A look came over Billy that would scare a ghost
A familiar look on soldiers from coast to coast
And even though the air was filled with lead
Billy jumped up
They shot him dead

Billy was buried in a faraway grave
That read for his country his life he gave
But that epitaph was only in part
He didn't die from a bullet
But he died from a broken heart.

Everybody Loves A Rain Song

I heard about it raining on a Georgia night
Never saw clearly in the morning light
I was walkin', just walkin' in the rain

She was a rainy day woman
She made me love her
Took my soul and I soon discovered
I was searchin', searchin' for rainbows

Everybody loves a rain song
Cause everybody's been rained on
It's like a shoulder you can lean on
One time or another
Stormy weather

Everybody loves a rainbow
From San Francisco to Chicago
And no matter where I go
It's still raining in my heart

So play me a song
Just for a feeling
Cause it's the only thing
That keeps you warm
When your memories get too cloudy to see

So rain me back home

Ohh, I was walkin', just walkin' in the rain ...

She was a rainy day woman
She made me love her
Took my soul and I soon discovered
I was searchin', searchin' for rainbows

Everybody loves a rain song
Cause everybody's been rained on
It's like a shoulder you can lean on
One time or another
Stormy weather

Everybody loves a rainbow
From San Francisco to Chicago
And no matter where I go
It's still raining in my heart

Everybody loves a rain song
Cause everybody's been rained on
It's like a shoulder you can lean on
One time or another
Stormy weather

Everybody loves a rainbow
From San Francisco to Chicago
And no matter where I go
It's still raining in my heart

I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry

Did you hear that lonesome whippoorwill
He sounds too blue to fly
The midnight train is winding low
And I'm so lonesome I could cry

Did you ever see a night so long
When time goes crawling by
The moon just went behind the clouds
And I'm so lonesome I could cry

Did you ever see a robin weep
When leaves begin to die
That means he's lost the will to live
And I'm so lonesome I could cry

The silence of a falling star
Lights up a purple sky
And as I wonder where you are
I'm so lonesome I could cry

Yeaahh I could cry
I could cry
I could cry
I could cry
I could cry
I could cry.

Jesus Hearted People

This is a song for those Jesus hearted people
This ones for the way
Them Jesus hearted people treated me

I came across a Norman Rockwell
In a faded magazine
And the pictures on the page
Brought to mind familiar faces
I think everybody knows the kind I mean

This is a song for those Jesus hearted people
The gentle folks at home
Yours and mine
This ones for the good ole boys
That I'd give the world to see
This ones for the way
Them Jesus hearted people treated me

They are an easy going people
Though they are hard set in their ways
And they do not take the chance
Even though the times are changing
'Cause they just can't get above them good ole days

And this a song for those Jesus hearted people
Everybody knows one or two
Haven't you
This ones for the good ole boys
That I'd give the world to see
This ones for the way
Those Jesus hearted people treated me

doo doo doo doo doo doo

How I love those Jesus hearted people

This is a song for those Jesus hearted people
Everybody's known one or two
Haven't you
This ones for the good ole boys I'd give the world to see
This ones for the way
Them Jesus hearted people treated me

And I love the way them Jesus hearted people people treated me

This is a song for those Jesus hearted people
Everybody's known one or two
Haven't you

Them Jesus hearted people treated me

Help Me Make To My Rockin' Chair

Met the girl that I want to get to know a little better
Tonight I'm gonna take her to the picture show
Gonna park in the darkest spot I know
I got a question
That I never asked anybody else before

Hey would you help me make it to my rockin' chair
Love me all of my life
Don't wanna grow old without ya
Don't wanna be out in the cold without ya
No more

Help me make it to my rockin' chair
Been saving my good times for the good
Would you hold me and never ever let me go

I've been told about love for so long
Been left cold without love for so long
Told of disappointments all so wrong
And I can't see me
In tomorrow
Without you beside me

Help me make it to my rockin'chair
Love me all of my life
Don't wanna grow old without ya
Don't wanna be out in the cold without ya
No more

Help me make it to my rockin' chair
Been saving my good times for the good
Would you hold me and never ever let me go

Help me make it to my rockin' chair
Been saving my good times for the good
Would you hold me and never ever let me go

Hey would you help me make it to my rockin'chair
Love me all of my life
Don't wanna grow old without ya
Don't wanna be out in the cold without ya
No more

Help me make it to my rockin' chair
Been saving my good times for the good
Would you hold me and never ever let me go

Help me make it to my rockin' chair
been saving my good times for the good
would you hold me and never ever let me go

Everybody's Out Of Town

Where have the people gone
Seems like there's no one hangin' on
Look through the window
The houses are empty

Hey
Everybody's out of town
Seems like
I'm the only one around

All of the streets are bare
No traffic tie ups anywhere
Don't have to wait for a seat at the movies

Hey
Everybodys out of town
Seems like I'm the only one around

Everyone moved out from the ghetto
Lots of space
Empty apartments
No more pollution
Plenty of classrooms everyplace

And it looks like we're ready
To give it one more try
This time there'll be no alibis
I'm gonna send out a message to Noah

Hey
Better send some people down
Everyone on earth
Is out of town

Half A Heart

Somewhere tonight
Do you still call my name
Everything here is alright
Except for the hole you left in my heart
Staring at me as deep as the dark

I feel you there
Moving through these empty rooms
Sometimes on the midnight air
I can still catch a fragrance of you
The sweetest of memories that I ever knew

Without a doubt
We're better together
Than we'll ever be apart
Living without you is like staying alive
With only half a heart

Are you alone
I really want to think you are
Ohh every empty night I've known
Pictures of you run 'round in my head
Goodbye is a word we should never have said

Without a doubt
We're better together
Than we'll ever be apart
Living without you is like staying alive
With only half a

Heart has a memory
That never forgets
You break it bad enough and it never mends

Without a doubt
We're better together
Than we'll ever be apart
Living without you is like staying alive
With only half a heart

Living without you is like staying alive
With only half a heart

She's Rolling Over And Over (In Someone's Else's Clover)

Settin' my sights too high
Spending too much time day dreaming
Should have seen her slowly leavin'
Before my eyes
Before my very eyes

Man of the year award
Spending too much time wheeler dealing
Should have seen him slowly stealing
You from my side
Before my very eyes

Shes rolling over and over
In someone elses clover
And shes happy I hear
Now that its over
All over
Its hard to see a profit
Through a tear
Its been one hell of a year

Livin' it up too fast
Spending too much time day dreaming
Should have seen him slowly stealing
You from my side
Before my very eyes

Shes rolling over and over
In someone elses clover
And shes happier I hear
Now that its over
All over
It's hard to see a profit
Through a tear
It's been one hell of a year

Over and over
Over and over
Over and over.

Sweet Cherry Wine

When I wake up in the morning feeling like
The night before
And the day comes crashing down around about the time my feet hit the floor
There ain't nothing I know
Can fix me up fine
Like a little taste of lovin
Laced with sweet cherry wine

When I need a friend
And I recall that I aint got a one
And I fell so doggone bored
Lord that dying sounds like it could be fun
There ain't nothing I know
Can get me in line
Like a little taste of lovin'
Laced with sweet cherry wine

I said hey
Hey
Nothing I know
Makes a body set up
Get up and go
I said hmmmmm
So sweet and so fine
When I'm going to pot
I don't need alot
Just give me a shot of sweet cherry wine

I just can't do without it
Sweet cherry wine
There aint no doubt about it
That nothing can warm up
With sweet cherry wine
Hmmmm
This cold heart of mine
Like a little taste of lovin'
I said sweet cherry wine
Sweet cherry wine

Who Would I Be

Sometimes at night I watch her sleep
And try to get through my head
She's in love with me
Yes she is

Sometimes I kiss her sleeping cheek
And touch her hair
There on the sheet
And shake my head in disbelief

Ohhh and I wonder
Who would I be
Where could I go
Girl if I didn't know
You were loving me
You know I wonder
Sometimes I wonder to myself
Who would I be
Where could I go
Girl if I didn't know
You were loving me
Now

The last time we were one
You know he told me son
Dont let this be the last time we say goodbye
Nooo
Oh but I never kissed him again
And now I think I'm beginning to understand
That feeling deep down in his eyes

He was thinkin
Who would I be
Where could I go-oo
Son if I didn't know
You were lovin' me
You know I wonder
Sometimes I wonder to myself
Who would I be
Where could I go
Son if I didn't know
You were lovin' me
Yeah

Ohh
And one day I'll be home
But by then you know they'll be grown
And out there on their own
Yes they will
Oh but I hope they know we tried
To leave our love deep down inside
So no matter where they ever go
They'll never have to wonder

Who would I be
Where could I go
Daddy if I didn't know
You were lovin' me
You know I wonder
Sometimes I wonder
Deep down in my heart
Who would I be
Where could I go
Daddy if I didn't know
You were lovin' me
Now

Ohhh
Who would I be
Where could I ever go
Baby
Oh girl if I didn't know
You were right there lovin' me
You know I wonder
Ohhh I wonder sometimes
Who would I be
Where could I go-o-o-oooo
If I didn't know you were lovin' me
You know I wonder
Sometimes I wonder to myself
who would I be
Where could i go-o-o-oooo
If I didn't know you were lovin' me
You know I wonder
Do you ever wonder

Who would I be
Where could I go
Oh girl if I didn't know you were thinking about me
Sometimes I wonder
Ohhh I wonder sometimes

Don't Leave Love (Out There All Alone)

What I want to say to you
Means so much to me
Cause I know what we've been
And I know what we could be
Words were said in anger
But that's not me and you
Goodbye is not the answer
That's the last thing we should do

Don't leave love out there all alone
Don't leave love alone
Don't give up just keep holding on
Just keep holding on
Cause what we feel is life
But how will it survive if we let it go
Don't let it go

Don't leave love out there all alone
Don't leave love alone

What I'm gonna give to you
Is everything I am
We've got a chance to make it
Hmmmm
We gotta take it while we can
We're standing in the doorway
The time has come to choose
What we do now is forever
We can win or we can lose

Don't leave love out there all alone
Don't leave love all alone
Love needs attention
Don't give up just keep holding on
Just keep holding on
What we feel is life
But how will it survive if we let it go
Don't let it go

Don't leave love out there all alone
Don't leave love alone

Nooo

Don't leave love out there all alone
You've got to show love some attention
Wellllll
Don't give up just keep holding on
You must keep holding on
Cause what we feel is life
But how will it survive if we let it go
Don't let it go
Don't leave love out there all alone
Don't leave love out there all alone

Throwing Rocks At The Moon

Caught in the heat of passion
Out on the edge of town
I tried to get to heaven on a highway
Hungry for satisfaction
I always get let down
And now I'm standing here alone
With nothing but a heartache.

Throwing rocks at the moon
Back talking to the night
Throwing rocks at the moon
Breaking a hole in the sky

Too many cold embraces
Chilling me to the bone
I held her for awhile before I lost her
Nothing but nameless faces
Out in the combat zone
Where love will last you for a moment
And leave you in the shadows.

Throwing rocks at the moon
Back talking to the night
Throwing rocks at the moon
Breaking a hole in the sky.

Shine the light she loves me
Shine the light she let's me go
Got the stars above me
It's the perfect night for
Throwing rocks at the moon.

Throwing rocks at the moon

Throwing rocks at the moon
Back talking to the night
I'm throwing rocks at the moon
Breaking a hole in the sky.

Throwing rocks at the moon

Throwing rocks at the moon

I'm throwing rocks at the moon
Knocking a hole in the sky
Throwing rocks at the moon
Backtalking to the night.

God Bless The Children

I hope there's really a Santa Claus
I hope he lives on the cold north pole
I hope the stockings are hung on the wall
May the child stay in us all

God bless the children everywhere
For they haven't yet learned not to care
We must not let time age the soul
May the child stay in us all

I hope there's really a reindeer that flies
Does a snowman see through his button eyes
I hope that when our hair turns to grey
All the child in us will stay

God bless the children everywhere
For they haven't yet learned not to care
Time must not turn our own hearts cold
May the child stay in us all
May the child stay in us all

Unless we be like children
The gates of heaven close
Until we think like children
Our souls will never grow old

God bless the children everywhere
For they haven't yet learned not to care
Time must not turn our own hearts cold
May the child stay in us all
May the child stay in us all
May the child stay in us all

Send My Picture To Scranton, PA

Send my picture to Scranton, PA
Write them and say I'm the kid they used to laugh at
Send my picture along with the news
Of all the good things I've done
Since they said

Nothing good ever would become of me
They were so sure
Let them know just how wrong they all can be
Get someone to

Paste my picture all over the walls
In all the halls of the school I used to go to
I was mixed up and kind of confused
No one around to took the time to find out

What was wrong and to try to understand
They ignored me
Maybe now they'll give kids a helping hand

Thats how it really ought to be
Not like the way it was with me

Well, no one there ever tried to understand
They ignored me
Maybe now they'll give kids a helping hand
I hope to God they cast aside
So I went out and really tried
Now they can point to me with pride.

Ballyhoo Days

Sitting at the stage door of the Palace
Looking down the alley two ways
One way takes my mind back home to Alice
The other to my ballyhoo days

There was a time my name had swept the nation
But now my job is sweeping cafes
I wonder how much living I have wasted
Clinging to my ballyhoo days

Ballyhoo days
Ballyhoo days
God almighty when I go
Please let me go dancing ...
Dancing

I've seen life from both sides of the curtain
And the only life for me is the stage
But nowadays my work is more uncertain
And filled with dreams of ballyhoo days

Ballyhoo days
Ballyhoo days
God almighty when I go
Please let me go dancing ...
Dancing ...
Dancing ...
In a ballyhoo way
Like my ballyhoo days

I Love Us

I love us
And everything we are
And all the things we do
And everything our love has meant to me and you
I couldn't care less what others might be thinking of us
'Cause I love us
Together

I love us

My piece of mind was just a sometime thing
A song just left for someone else to sing
But since you've been my friend
Happy songs have known no end
And I love us

And everything we are
And all the things we do
And everything our love has meant to me and you
I couldn't care less what others might be thinking of us
'Cause I love us
Together

I love us

Giving more than love needs to survive
Brings us the joy of simply being alive
More and more each day
I hear my heart say

I love us

And everything we are
And all the things we do
And everything our love has meant to me and you
I couldn't care less what others might be thinking of us
'Cause I love us
Together

I love us

Plain Jane

Come all to the the junior/senior prom
The biggest occasion
Of the year
And now the time was here
All the girls were going
They all had a date
But what about Jane
What about Plain Jane

She wasn't pretty
Kids made fun of her
But she was gentle as a kittens purr
Still she
Had to feel the pain
When they called her name
Plain Jane
Poor Plain Jane

Oh how she wanted to go to the prom
But no one would ask Plain Jane
Poor little girl
Living in a cold cold world
And lonely she was lonely as could be

But then the phone rang
Someone asked for Jane
Tears began to flow like rain
But they were tears of joy
The call was from a boy
Asking Jane to the prom
Plain Jane was going to the prom

She was all excited
Couldn't wait
Going on her very first date
Spent the whole day getting dressed
Had to look her very best
But now its half past eight
Guess her dates gonna be late

Meanwhile at the prom
Everyone was laughing 'bout the trick they'd played
And the boy who'd made the call
He was laughing loudest of all
But their joy turned to tears instead
When the morning paper said a girl was dead
Too much pain for a girl with a name
Plain Jane
Just too much pain for girl with a name
Plain Jane

America Is

America is a sharecropper's son
Who plays a guitar
And grows up to be a rock and roll star
Yes even a sharecopper's son can go far
In America

America is an immigrant's daughter
With something to say
Who grows up to be a writer one day
An immigrant's daughter can turn out ok
In America
America

You can build a bigger bridge
You can make a better car
Erect a building tall enough to almost touch a star
Anything you can dream you can do
It's up to you

America is the cop on the beat
Who walks all alone
And offers his life to safeguard your own
Like so many heroes unsung and unknown
In America

America is the telephone man
On top of a pole
The miner who digs deep down in a hole
And each one in search of his own private goal
In America
America

You can build a stronger dam
You can make a faster plane
Irrigate a barren desert that is crying out for rain
Anything you can dream you can do
It's up to you

America is
The light in the harbor
That immigrants see
That tells them they've reached the land of the free
And that is the way it always will be
In America
America

In America

America The Beautiful

Oh, beautiful
For spacious skies
For amber waves of grain
For purple mountains majesty
Above the fruited plain

America
America
God shed His grace on thee
And crown thy good
With brotherhood
From sea to shining sea

Oh beautiful
For spacious skies
For amber waves of grain
For purple mountains majesty
Above the fruited plain

America
America
God shed His grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea

And crown thy good
With brotherhood

These Colors Won't Run

As I watch Old Glory
Waving in the wind
I think of what it stands for
And everywhere it's been

Each states shows independence
By having it's own star
Red stands for courage
And blood shed in the war
White is for the innocence
Lost on the battlefield
Blue stands for justice
That will always prevail

These colors won't run
They're tried and true
The promise of freedom
Is in the red, white and blue
They stand for what is right
And if it takes a fight to get it done
These colors won't run

When our freedom is challenged
We won't back down
Even on foreign soil
We stand our ground
We'll defy the largest foe
For what we believe
Defend the smallest friend
In their time of need
And time after time
We've answered the call
And through every battle
Our flag weathered it all

These colors won't run
They're tried and true
The promise of freedom
Is in the red, white and blue
They stand for what is right
And if it takes a fight to get it done
These colors won't run

The flag is more than just our colors
It's a ways of life, It's a way of life ..

These colors won't run
They're tried and true
The promise of freedom
Is in the red, white and blue
They stand for what is right
And if it takes a fight to get it done
These colors won't run

The Lovin' Kind

Somewhere I heard these words one time
Love is like a clinging vine
Wrap me 'round your heart
And 'round your mind

I've never had to cling to you
'Cause I have no fear of losin' you
Our love is not a clinging vine
It's the lovin' kind

Somewhere I let read these words one time
Love is like a glass of wine
Aging made it sweeter and so fine

It's no better now than before
'Cause we've got the best and there's nothin' more
Our love is not a glass of wine
It's the lovin' kind

Let them write their fancy words
For people who have never heard or tasted
A love like yours and mine
Ours is not a clinging vine
And its certainly not a glass of wine
It's love
And our love is the lovin' kind

Our love is not a clinging vine
And its certainly not a glass of wine
It's love
And our love is the lovin' kind

Oh Me Oh My

Oooohhh

To make you laugh I'll play the fool for you
Although the people turn and stare
I give my everything to keep you girl
It breaks my heart when your not there

I'll stage a ballet on a tabletop
command performance, finger sized
and though I have no tune my show won't flop
I'll find the music in your eyes

Oh Me Oh My
I'm a fool for ya baby
Oh Me Oh My
Well I'm crazy well I'm crazy crazy
Oh Me Oh My
I'm a fool for ya baby
Let your love light shine on me

We'll blow a genie from a cigarette
We'll take a magic carpet ride
We'll tell our smoky friend
Now don't forget
You must keep us side by side

Oh Me Oh My
I'm a fool for ya baby
Oh Me Oh My
Yes I'm crazy well I'm crazy crazy
Oh Me Oh My
I'm a fool for ya baby
Just let your love light shine on me

Ohh Ohh

Oh Me Oh My
I'm a fool for ya baby
Oh Me Oh My
I'm crazy well I'm crazy crazy
Oh Me Oh My
I'm a fool for ya baby
Just let your love light shine on me

I Need A Miracle

I've looked into my future
To what I just can't say
I've spent up all my life
To get to where I am today
Too old to start all over
Too young to call it quits
This time
I need a miracle

They say the answer's money
you know I've made alot
It didn't buy me piece of mind
It just paid for what I got
And all I got was troubles
And things that pass away
Oh this time ohhh
I need a miracle
I need a miracle

Oh I've been known to gamble
And I've been known to win
And if life was like a game of chance
I'd play the chips again
But all the things I think to say
You knew before
This time ohh
I need a miracle
I need a miracle

This time

Play Something Sweet

Well I tried to run my game
She said man that's the same old thing
I've heard before
And I'm too tired to go for your show
again and again
And she started to explain
She said man I ain't sayin' what your playin'
just can't make it
But I just can't take it anymore

Play something sweet, play something mellow
Play something I can sink my teeth in like jello
Play something I can understand
Play me some brickyard blues
Play something sweet, now make it funky
Just make me lay back and grin like a monkey
Play something I can understand
Play me some brickyard blues.

Well I started to sweat
She said don't get upset, cause you just might
break a string
And that won't do a thing for your show, no
So I said to myself
I said self do you see what is sailing through my soul
And I got to have some more, don't you know.

Play something sweet, play something mellow
Play something I can sink my teeth in like jello
Play something I can understand
Play me some brickyard blues
Play something sweet, now make it funky
Just make me lay back and grin like a monkey
Play something I can understand
Play me some brickyard blues.

It's enough to make a light in the dark
It's enough to make a bite just a bark
It's enough to make a body move around
It's enough to make a rabbit hug a hound.

Play something sweet, play something mellow
Play something I can sink my teeth in like jello
Play something I can understand
Play me some brickyard blues
Play something sweet, now make it funky
Just make me lay back and grin like a monkey
Play something I can understand
Play me some brickyard blues.

You Made Me Feel Brand New

My love
I'll never find the words my love
To tell you how I feel my love
Mere words
Cannot explain

Precious love
You held my life within your hands
Created everything I am
Taught me how to live again

Only you
Cared when I needed a friend
Believed in me through thick and thin
This song is for you
Filled with gratitude and love

God bless you
You make me feel brand new
Oh God blessed me with you
You make me feel brand new
I sing this song for you
You make feel brand new

My love
Whenever I was insecure
You held me up and made me sure
You gave
My pride
Back to me

Precious then
With you I'll always have a friend
Your someone who I can depend
To walk a path that sometimes bends
Without you
Life has no meaning or rhyme
Like notes to a song out of time
How can I repay
You for having faith
In me

God bless you
You make me feel brand new
Ohh God blessed me with you
You make me feel brand new
I sing this song
For you baby

You make me feel brand new
For God blessed me with you
You make me feel brand new
I sing this song for you

Don't You Love Me Anymore

Hey baby
Something's wrong, won't you tell me
Where's the sparkle that filled your eyes
Don't you love me anymore

Now I can see
You've been slipping away from me
Once you promised me no goodbyes
Don't you love me anymore

Night used to smile so sweetly
We had our own forever song
But now nothing's the same
Was our love all a game
'Cause forever didn't last too long
Tell me
Where did we go wrong

Won't you tell me
Were there lies that you told me
Why don't ever hold me
Don't you love me anymore

Ohhh please come back to me
We'll be just like we used to be
Can't we give it just one more more try
Don't you love me anymore

Don't you love me anymore

I Need To Be Still ( And Let God Love Me )

I need to be stiIl and let God love me
I need to be still and let God love me
When this old world starts to push and shove me
I need to be still and let God love me

I need to relax and let God take over
I need to relax and let God take over
He'll take this load off my shoulders
I need to relax and let God take over

When there's trouble all around me
And my soul cries out for rest
When I feel that I'm falling
Even though I've done my best
When decisions get so heavy
And there are answers that I need
I know it's time to just be still and let
God love me

I need to be still and let God love me
I need to be still and let God love me
When this old world starts to push and shove me
I need to be still and let God love me

I need to be still and let God love me
I need to be still and let God love me
When this old world starts to push and shove me
I need to be still and let God love me

Even A Fool Would Let Go

It's funny how love goes
'Cause I know this will never work out
But honey my loves grows
Even though there's no reason to doubt
This can never be
You keep saying it's wrong
Neither one of us is free
Still I wanna hold on

When even a fool would let go
'Cause he knows that there's no use in trying
Even a child would say no
When he knows that he'll end up crying
Tell me now is it wise holding you
When even a fool would let go

My love had no reason
Like the words to a song that don't rhyme
My loves' got no season
I just know that it's there all the time
Baby just you and me
I can believe that's wrong
Thinkin' bout you and me
Makes me want to hold on

When even a fool would let go
'Cause he knows that there's no use in trying
Even a child would say no
When he knows that he'll end up crying
Tell me now is it wise holding you
When even a fool would let go

Tell me now is it wise holding you
When even a fool would let go

Here You Come Again

Here you come again
Just when I begun to get myself together
You waltz right in the door
Just like you've done before
And wrap my heart around your little finger

Here you come again
Just when I'm about to make it work without you
You look into my eyes
And lie those pretty lies
And pretty soon I'm wondering
How I came to doubt you

All you gotta do
Is smile that smile
And there go all my defenses
Leave it up to you
And in a little while
You're messing up my mind
And filling up my senses

Here you come again
Looking better than a body has a right to
And shaking me up so
That all I really know
Is here you come again
And here I go

All you gotta do
Is smile that smile
And there go all my defenses
Leave it up to you
And in a little while
You're messing up my mind
And filling up my senses

Here you come again
Looking better than a body has a right to
And shaking me up so
That all I really know
Is here you come again
And here I go

Here I go

Here I go

This Guy's In Love With You

You see this guy
This guys in love with you
Yes I'm in love
Who looks at you the way I do

When you smile
I can tell
We know each other very well
How can I show you
I'm glad I got to know you

'Cause I've heard some talk
They say you think I'm fine
Yes I'm in love
And what I'd do to make you mine

Tell me now
Is it so
Don't let me be the last to know
My hands are shaking
Don't let my heart keep breaking

'Cause I need your love
And I want your love
Say you're in love
In love with this guy

If not I'll just die

Tell me now
Is it so
Don't let me be the last to know
My hands are shaking
Don't let my heart keep breaking

'Cause I need your love
And I want your love
Say you're in love
In love with this guy

If not I'll just die

Nightlife

When the evenin' sun goes down
You will find me hangin' 'round
The nightlife ain't no good life
But it's my life

Many people just like me
Dreaming of old used to bes
The nightlife ain't no good life
But it's my life

Listen to the blues they're playing
Ohhh listen to what the blues are saying

Ohhh mine is just another scene
From the world of broken dreams
You know the nightlife ain't no good life
But it's my life

Ohhh when the evenin' sun goes down
You would find me hangin' 'round
Oh the nightlife
Ain't no good life
But it's my life

Many people just like me
Dreaming of old used to bes
You know the nightlife ain't no good life
But it's my life

Ohhhh the nightlife
Ain't no good life
But it's my life

Amour

If love is just a moment
Let me spend this moment with you
And let me remember with you

If hearts are just like flowers
As fragile as the hours we spend
Don't let this moment ever end
Ohhh

Tu es ma vrai chanson
Ma papillon
Ma cherie d'amour
Comme le soleil du jour
Tu es toujours
Ma cherie d'amour**

If love songs are forever
Then let this be my love song to you
If feelings are surrendered
The let me surrender to you
If yesterday was lonely
You've only to bring your tears to me
And I'll kiss away the sadness
And hold you and love you tenderly

Tu es ma vrai chanson
Ma papillon
Ma cherie d'amour
Comme le soleil du jour
Tu es toujours
Ma cherie d'amour**

Ohhh hooo

You do
Feel just like a warm summer day
Ohhh hooo
You do
Kiss my thoughts and I fly away

Tu es ma vrai chanson
Ma papillon
Ma cherie d'amour
Comme le soleil du jour
Tu es toujours
Ma cherie d'amour**

Tu es ma vrai chanson
Ma papillon
Ma cherie d'amour
Comme le soleil du jour
Tu es toujours
Ma cherie d'amour**

Written by: Barry Longfellow (aka singer Andy Kimm)

**The translation of the French spoken chorus into English:

You are my real song
My butterfly
My dearest love
Like the daily sun
You are always
My dearest love

Let There Be Peace On Earth

Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be
With God as our Father
Brothers all are we
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony

Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow
To take each moment
And live each moment
In peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me

Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be
With God as our Father
Brothers all are we
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony

Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow
To take each moment
And live each moment
In peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin

With me

Grown-Up Christmas List

Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you with childhood fantasies
Well I'm all grown up now
But still need help somehow
I'm not a child
But my heart still can dream

So here's my life long wish
My grown-up Christmas list
Not for myself
But for a world in need

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal the heart
Everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
Ohhhh
This is my grown-up Christmas list

As children we believed
The grandest sight to see
Was something lovely
Wrapped beneath our tree
But Heaven surely knows
That packages and bows
Can never heal
The hurting human soul

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal the heart
Everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
Ohhhh
This is my grown-up Christmas list

What is this illusion called
The innocence of youth
Maybe only in our blind belief
Can we ever find the truth

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal the heart
Everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal the heart
Everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
Ohhhhh
This is my grown-up Christmas list
This is my only lifelong wish
This is my grown-up Christmas list

Away In The Manger

Away in the manger
No crib for his bed
The little Lord Jesus
Lay down his sweet head
The stars in the sky look down where he lay
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay

Be near me Lord Jesus
I ask thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray
Bless all the dear children in thy tender care
And fit us for Heaven to live with thee there

Away in the manger
No crib for his bed
The little Lord Jesus
Lay down his sweet head
The stars in the sky look down where he lay
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay

Back Home

Back home
In my little town
It's almost Christmas time
Children are playing in the fallen snow
'Round the steep that I used to climb
Someday they'll how lucky they are
After the years have flown
They can look back
Looking forward to
A Christmas time back home

Back home
To memories
Candy canes and Christmas trees
Momma baking a homemade pie
And Daddys wearing his Christmas tie
And the happiest times
I've ever known
I've left but I've never been gone
When it's Christmas time
It's time to go back home

And it came to pass in those days
That there went out a degree from Caesar Augustus
That all the world should be taxed
And this taxing was first made when Syrinius was governor of Syria
And all was to be taxed
Everyone unto his own city
And Joseph also went up from Galilee
Out of the city of Nazareth
Into Judeah into the city of David
Which is called Bethlehem
Because he was of the house and minage of David
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife
Being great with child
And so it was that while they were there
The days were accomplished
That she should be delivered
And she brought forth a first-born son
And wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger
And so in the hometown of Joesph
Jesus Christ was born
And since that night almost 2000 years ago
There is in the heart of ever man and woman
The seed .. a need to go back

When it's Christmas time it's time to go back home

Back home
To memories
Candy canes and Christmas trees
Momma baking a homemade pie
And Daddys wearing his Christmas tie
And the happiest times
I've ever known
I've left but I've never been gone
When it's Christmas time
It's time to go back home

Yeah
When it's Christmas time
It's time to go back home
